General Regulations:
-
Entries will be received in the Exhibition Hall Building on Sunday, August 25th 2019, from 1:30pm to 8:30pm only.
-
Judging takes place on Monday. Building will be closed to the public all day.
-
Exhibitors are asked to please note changes throughout the departments, class numbers, etc.
-
Please note all exhibitors will be given new exhibitor numbers.
-
Entry Fee is $5.00 per class.
-
Exhibitor passes are available for the week at $10.00 with the entry of at least one item listed for the Exhibition Hall Building.
-
Prize money may be picked up in the Exhibition Hall Building anytime after 1:00pm on Thursday.
-
The Exhibition Hall Building will be closed to the public at 7:00pm on Saturday, August 31st. Exhibitors may remove their exhibits from 8:00pm to 9:00pm. All exhibits must be removed by 9:00pm on Saturday.
-
Spoiled or wilted exhibits may be removed during the week at the discretion of the department heads.
-
Judges are not required to award prize money in any section in which they consider the exhibit to be below standard. Spoiled or soiled items will not be judged.
-
“For Sale” The exhibitor may place signs on exhibits anytime after Judging. Purchaser must be informed that items cannot be removed until after 7:00pm on Saturday.

All items exhibited at owners’ risk.

All exhibitors age 14 and under please put age on entry form and entry tags.
Check online for any other changes.

Styrofoam display trays & wooden potato boxes will be supplied.

Potatoes should be brushed clean with a soft brush and preferably not washed.

Onions should be brushed clean with a soft brush. Only ragged and dirty outer scales should be removed. Do not peel.

Celery and Swiss Chard should be exhibited in a large jar/vase.

Trays and boxes will be provided by the Exhibition.

Rules:

Entry tags must be taped to plastic coverings.
-
Two or more pieces comprising one entry must be securely fastened together.
-
Please put food entries on small paper plates or foam meat trays and place in clear plastic bag, ziplock bags are prefered. No saran wrap please.
-
Jams, jellies, and pickles must be properly sealed in canning jars with new two-piece metal snap lids. Unsealed jar items with lid caps or wash seals will not be accepted. Note: All jams, jellies, and pickles must be properly labeled. Labels must include type (example: strawberry jam/mustard pickles/etc.) and the date (year and month) the product was made. All products must be made between September 2018 and August 2019.

Baked items must be of a non-perishable nature. Refrigeration is not available.
-
Remove muffin papers before exhibiting.
-
Half of a double loaf of bread is not the same as a single loaf.
-
If a recipe is required please use a recipe card or cut paper to 4x6” size and no larger.

Two exhibits made from the same batch are not acceptable.
-
Two exhibitors cannot enter something from the same loaf, etc.

All items in jars must be dated with the year and month when made.

Note: To be eligible for prizes in some categories, declaration forms must be filled out, signed and photos must be taken. Recipes and proof of sponsors product purchase will be required for some.

Requirements for all sponsored competitions: Judging will be based on appearance, taste, texture, and recipe creativity.

Note: Country Fair Baking Contests reserve the right to substitute gift prizes for a cash prize equivalent to $10.00 1st place, $6.00 2nd place.
